GrayLeigh Alpacas - Stannum NSW
GrayLeigh Alpacas is situated on the glorious New England Tablelands, 10 mins from the renowned town of Deepwater.
We enjoy a distinct four seasons and temperatures range between 30 degrees in summer and down to minus 10 in winter. Our alpacas enjoy an altitude of around 1200 meters.
The property ‘GrayLeigh’ is 1800 acres of undulating valleys to steeper natural bushland, currently the alpaca accommodation is around two hundred acres of well-fenced paddocks, with shelters, dams and reticulated tank water troughs.
GrayLeigh is a family enterprise, with both suri and huacaya stud stock and a commercial suri herd in the early development stages. What started in early 2010 with two pregnant females has blossomed to a herd of over 60 and growing. We look forward to discussing our journey so far, and assisting new or potential alpaca owners.
GrayLeigh participates in local and interstate shows, so you can meet the show boys and gals, cuddle a cria (baby) or hand feed. See and touch alpaca products on display and some merchandise will be available for purchase. Farm and barn tours also on offer for those interested or you can simply sit in the paddock and soak up the ‘hums’! Remember to wear appropriate footwear and hats.
Come and visit our property and see our alpacas (almost one of every colour!) – pat, feed or lead you are welcome and guaranteed to get up close and personal with a friendly alpaca or two….whether you are considering alpacas or you would just like to see meet some, bring your family or friends out for the day.
Directions: from the New England Highway, Deepwater - drive 15km NW on the Torrington/Stannum Rd, at Stannum + intersection go straight ahead onto Red Hill Rd, travel 200m on gravel rd, take left hand driveway number 25, ‘GrayLeigh’.
